What is data plane in networking?
In networking, the data plane is a part of the network architecture where user packets are forwarded. That is why it is also called a forwarding plane or, alternatively, a user plane or data path. It represents a set of forwarding resources that control plane policies operate on. The data plane enables the transfer of packets to and from end-users.
